This thing just looks really neat. I also have some of the tattered black cloth sold on OTC on use that as a sort of backdrop for this. When lit, the guazey cloth looks really sheer and very spooky. The lights really look purple, not reddish. It is a hit at our house. My only issue with it it that the lights extend too far down to the plug, so you get some light where you don't necessarily want some. It's an easy fix to place something in front of it, but it could be an issue in some displays. Otherwise, great buy.

saw this item on a couple of different sites for $3-7 more. Very happy to find it reasonably priced. It lived up to the photo and worked well as a banister drape.
