These are the actual holder and do not clip on. There is a hole in the back for a nail. I bought them thinking they were clip ons but alas, will go unused. Super cute and high quality.

This item is super cute, and easy to install. However it doesn't seem like resin to me. It seems more like a ceramic. I'm a little concerned about it breaking with children using it. But I thought it would be more of plastic type material. But overall, I like it. And you can't beat the price.
