The black paint is streaked and light in a few spots (as though there wasn't enough paint used). The white paint on the raised letters isn't perfect but that may have been the look intended. The red paint is streaky and off as well. It looks better than I expected though. It seems like something you can find in a dollar store. I am happy with my purchase though for a young childs teacher I think it will make a great gift. I ordered two of these. Paint was the same way on both. Neither one was broken and I dont think the handle was fragile. If you arent expecting perfection or paying alot then it would be a good choice.
