Purchased this for my daughters Halloween party and was disappointed when it came. The photo is so much cuter then the actual product. When I came back to look at the photo I noticed a second photo of a girl holding it. This looks much more like the actual product. My husband actually laughed (as it looks more like a cat, how do I say it?, in the cat box) then a scared arched cat. We haven't used it, but it is very stiff. I'm not sure the kids will be able to break it open. No paper inside to hold the shape (but it is very stiff and has held the shape) and the hole to fill it is very small, so only small, over 3 toys can be inserted.
Cons: quality, looks
No, I would not recommend this product to a friend.

I do not recommend this pinata. It was smaller than I pictured and the paper was impossible to get out. There is very little room for candy!
