The packaging kept it safe from chipping. The black paint on the nose rubbed off some so I had to take a black sharpie and do a quick paint job. I would buy again though. I'm glad I got that candle instead of just a "1" candle. It looked great in the pics we took. It is somewhat fragile so make sure to be CAREFUL when you take it out of the packaging and keep it safe until you can place it on top of the cake!

Cons: fragile
