the tape rips

"I really liked this at first and liked that it came w/ 2 refills. I got about 1/2 thru the tape and it ripped. Making it usless. So I justed the refill, thinking maybe I was going to fast. Same thing happened. I was pretty disappointed."

"The tape broke several times during use. One of the rolls I had to entirely throw away because it stuck to itself and would not roll but kept breaking."

"Not even 1/4 of the way through my first refill and the runner ripped. I just took a thin strip of regular tape and taped it together....about 1/2 way through it did it again. So I took that refill out and started with a new one. It did the same thing........too much work for me. I need a tape runner that doesn't keep ripping."

"The adhesive container worked just fine. But, two of the four refills that I purchsed were not working correctly. The adhesive broke in both items and could not be fixed. May have been faulty before I even received them. The adhesive seems to be working just fine, though, on my scrapbooking project."

"Great adhesive for the price. Wish the refills were a little cheaper since it is only $1 more for the tape runner. I don't need so many runner, just refills. Every once in awhile I get a jammed tape, but that is typical with all tape runners."

"I am used to the more expensive brands and after reading all the raving reviews for this item, I thought I would give this product a shot. Maybe if I get used to using it I will not have as many problems, but one of the refills broke right out of the package, and the sticky tape sticks to everything (the bag it comes in, my fingers from trying to un-stick it, it even get stuck to the device that holds it)."

Worst tape runner ever

"I've used a lot of tape runners, but these are terrible! I ordered 12 sets (36 total pieces) for a community scrap night. About 7 were broken when I opened the package, and almost all of them broke during use (the tape broke in the middle making them unusable). The adhesive didn't pull of the wax paper backing either -- it was so strongly adhered it ripped the paper instead. Terrible! Lots of disgruntled new scrappers. However, they gave me a credit so I'm still pro OTC."

"I've been doing papercrafting for a long time. While I like how the way the tape sticks, I had quite a few problems with the backing on the tape breaking. Then I would have to unwind the used backing, waste tape to secure it to the spool again, and ultimately waste time too. Maybe I just got a bad batch, I don't know. Considering the price, I would give it a try again."

"I guess I was being cheap, tried to use this like the Glue Pro for my Bulletin Boards, but it wasn't as sticky as I thought. It is, however, great for scrapbooking! I would recommend for smaller on the table projects not wall sized ones."

"This product works well and allows movement on paper/cardstock for a short time before it sets and is permanent. However, I find that the amount of adhesive tape is considerably less than other brands that, of course, cost more. I seemed to run out fairly quickly but I do a lot of card making."

"This product is well worth seeking out. I use tons of runner tape to make cards and for scrap-booking. Other brands are hard to find as they run out in the shops and don't reorder very often. Oriental Trading has the same thing, much less expensive, and they are always available on-line. I now recommend this to all my friends."

"To me adhesive is the most expensive part of scrapbooking or card making--depending on the type you make. (A lot of layering.) I just got done doing a five part wedding invitation that took a lot of adhesive. The product holds really well so I don't have to worry about it coming apart. On the rare occassion where I have problems with a refill, they are quick to help me out."
