Well I got these knowing there would be reading envolved in the sorting process but my preschool kids can not read but I just added colored stickers to the back so they could sort them that way. I will take them out and explain them in a group but this way it makes it so they can sort them on their own as well. The cardboard is nice and sturdy and I was very impressed when I got them. There are 8 items in each box and they come pre-sorted so you dont have to take time to figure out what goes where!!! I added the colored stickers to the back and that worked really well for my kidos but if your kids can read then that wouldn't be necessary. So far we have only had this out one day but it's been a big hit!!!
Pros: Educational, quality, Child's Favorite, Age appropriateness

This will make a great addition to the classroom during center time. It comes with many different cardboard cutouts of various recycleables for children to sort.

I purchased this project for a Girl Scout Earth Day celebration with several different aged girls. When I saw it on the website, I thought it was a little expensive for what it was. However, when I received it, I was impressed. The cardboard boxes and sorting items are very thick and glossy coated to prevent damage. The younger girls learned about sorting while the older girls made a game of it but timing themselves to see how fast they could sort all the items.
