"If you are looking for cheap this is it. Some of the pieces were broken when they arrived. There were also supposed to be 70 pieces and I only received 50. Not all of the Kazoos worked and there were no slide whistles. Poor quality. Sorry I bought them. Must have been all their left overs."

"I got a total of (49) items - unless I count (3) pair of maracas as a total of (6) items.
Quality of the items varied - some were good-quality whistles, a few metal noisemakers, etc. - but others were the quality level of the type of very cheap party favors that you might find in a 6-pack in the grocery store.
A few of the items were very small - for instance there were (4) "rings" that were made of a loop of elastic with a couple jingle bells attached.

I didn't get any full-sized recorders or other large items that some other reviewers have described receiving.
I did receive a good varied mixture of items - some "clappers", several types of whistles, maracas, a few very tiny (Barbie doll accessory sized) plastic tambourines, etc.
I got (2) slide whistles that didn't really work well (the slide doesn't change the tone of the whistle at all).
I got (2) dusty-looking Easter bunny slide whistles that also didn't work well as slide whistles.

"I did not get (most) of what was pictuered.
Some products were made very cheap while others were o.k.
I bought this for my daughters b. day party treat bags, i will not use most for that purpose.

Worth the price!

"Being a music teacher I am always looking for little incentives to help my students achieve and succeed. This wonderful assortment definitely fits the bill. With a wide variety of little things, almost all of my students who get to choose something out of the 'prize box' really enjoy their reward.
Of course for under 15 dollars for 50 items you can't expect everything to be amazing or big but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of nice items like recorders, little tambourines, maracas, slide whistles, duck calls, etc. That there were in this assortment. I ordered three sets and I am going to order around five more soon. These are too good a bargain to pass up!"

"When I opened the package, I was delightfully surprised. The instruments were larger and of better quality than I had anticipated. Yes, there were a few that seemed cheeper than the rest, but my kids loved these, and were able to make plenty of music with them."

"The kids in my daughter's kindergarten class ate these up! There are some bigger instruments in here then I expected so we pulled them out and donated them to the music department at school. I didn't win any popularity contest with the parents over these because of the noise level, but they'll entertain the kids longer then a piece of candy."

"The price was right, for sure. But was the product? Absolutely! Some cheap noisemakers in the bunch, but also some very cool train whistles, full size recorders, mini tambourines with good sound, and a bunch of other fun and interesting instruments and noisemakers. Excellent value! Just what I needed for my classes of middle schoolers to explore sounds and not worry about broken instruments."

"Bought this for my son's birthday party goodie bags and it arrived 2 days before so I was stuck with this box of 100% garbage. Not one of the short flutes and kazoos worked and that was at lest 15 of the 50 items. I certainly didn't think the assortment would be exactly as pictured but this wasn't even close. What a disappointment but at least the company reimbursed me my 12.99"

"These were great for our "Carnival Themed Birthday Party". We ordered these as well as the mega animal assortment pack and they were great. This pack even came with a few recorders, and train whistles. Because it is a mega pack, you don't necessarily get the same exact number of each instrument. It still was a great buy for us."

"Half of the items in this mix did not even make any noise. They weren't broken just weren't designed to actually work! Kazoos were terrible, they were nothing but hollow tubes! A couple of other items were broken. Also, the mix we received was not exactly as pictured. Some items I was really interested in for a reason were not in our bag, but we were given other items that didn't fit our needs."

"I bought this for "Maestro's Treasure Box" to give as gifts for my students after they learn their lines and spaces on the music staff. It should work well for this. The recorders were broken in one of the 2 packages I purchased, but overall, I think 1st graders will be pleased."
