"I purchased the full and half masks for our KID'S LIFE after-school program at our church.
They decorated these as their craft project last week. They just love doing these. They even wore them home.
Most all of the items I order are for Kid's Life, VBS or
our Sunday School.

"Fifth graders made these Egyptian masks in art class. They enjoyed working with different types of paints. The masks were spray painted and then the students used tempera paint for the eyes. This lesson went right along with their studies in history class."

"These masks are just what I wanted for an art project. So much better than the flimsy plastic ones. Just be aware that there are only 6 in a package - not a dozen."

"My classroom used these masks for Mardi Gras. They all came out really good! We used paint, glitter and feathers. One student used modge podge. There are a lot of possibilities! In the past I have used plastic masks, which did not work out as nicely. The jewels and glitter wouldn't adhere to the masks, even with special glue."

"I love these masks! I am a professional face painter and I use these on my display board so people can see the different designs they can choose from for me to apply to their faces. I love the 3-D value as examples for my clients (mostly children). These make a stunning display which attracts more people (ca-ching $$$$).
The masks are easy to paint on, hold the colors well and don't absorb too much paint. The fact that they are very affordable is great! When I want to add to, or change my designs, I don't have to even think twice. The other thing I love about the construction is the ridge around them which allows me to add velcro tabs on the back so they can adhere to my display board easily."

"We use these masks to have the young ladies in our programs represent their 'inner beauty' on the outside of the mask. The paper mache is workable for both paint and markers. We love this product!"

"Really sturdy and easy to color with pens, paint and glitter. No strings, though, so you'll need to grab some. They're a little freaky looking, so the little ones might not like them, but my older kids LOVED these."

"These masks accept paint and marker very well. We used them to make Carnival masks for my daughter's birthday party. I used both 3-d paint, tempura and permanent marker as well as sparkle glue and all mediums worked well, no bleeding or weakening of paper mache. You can achieve many different looks with these masks. In order to make them attachable to face we glued ribbon to back using a heavy sparkle glue and the ribbon held nicely."

really good product
Date: September 29, 2009
"I was looking for a mask to use as a base for gluing items on to once finished the mask would have to support a fair amount of weight as a decorative item and these masks held up beautifully they are a pressed paper mache` the surface is ultra smooth and ready for glue or paint or markers sturdy enough for use as a Halloween mask more than once... or up against a bunch of crafty kids!! I was very pleased with the product"

Great product....expected more

"I have rec'd the masks and they are great. I plan to use them for a Halloween Party. I was disappointed because the masks did not come with strings to actually use them!.
I even called to check but no, so now I am all over the craft store looking for elastic string.
Then found a Oriental Trading Catalog the had similiar masks, cheaper, with the string included."

design mask #57/6999

"My students are going to do a pantomime and needed masks. The masks are good, however I was disappointed that the masks did not include an elastic strap to hold the mask on the face. I will now need to go find something to add to the masks. There needs to be a better discription stating this for future buyers."

"I would highly recommend this product. My students designed their own masks which had to be symbolic of someone they admired. They also wrote an Ode, which is a poem paying tribute to someone or something. In this case, their Odes were tributes to the person represented by their masks. This was the final project after reading Oedipus the King. Greek drama featured only three actors who wore masks to represent the character they were playing and Sophocles incorporated Odes into his plays. The masks are hanging from the ceiling in our classroom. They have been a definite hit with the students! I need to order now for next year. This project would also work well with LORD OF THE FLIES with a bit of tweeking on the poem style. Wonderful product! Easily painted, takes glue well, etc."
