Really good value and fun
Date: November 8, 2009
"I bought these masks for a kids party. The kids (6 yr olds) spent 10 minutes doing this project at the the beginning of the party while we were waiting for everyone to arrive and it was a great activity. The masks were better quality than I was expecting from the other reviews on this site and we had no problems with damaged masks or difficulty threading the elastic. I'd highly recommend these,"

Mixed Review
Date: August 4, 2009
"We used these at a kids' craft booth, and the kids loved the scratch-art part of the project. As in previous review, though, some masks were already scratched a bit, and the supplied strings were far too short. We ended up using yarn to keep them on the kids' heads. If you plan to use them with adults or older kids, you may want to pick up shishkabob skewers for scratching, as they have a pointed tip that's better for details than the rounded tip on the child-firendly sticks that are included."

Straps too small
Date: June 29, 2009
"These scratch mask were "OK". The kids enjoyed creating their masks, but some of them were "scratched" up" when we opened them. Also, the strap is much, much too small. We had to double up the straps for them to fit around the kids heads. The average age of the children was five years old. The price was great. If they made the straps longer, I definately would recommend to others."

OK but flimsy
Date: June 25, 2009
"I agree with others - very light paper and flimsy. I put reinforcement "O"'s on the backside holes where the elastic goes through; worked well. The kids loved the scratch-off fun. There were 2 kinds of elastic that came with the masks; the heavier elastic wasn't big enough so the kids and adults replaced theirs with yarn - bummer. Be aware that not all of the masks have their own sticks; I sent them home with the kids to bring back so there weren't enough sticks. Good product for $."

Great Masks
Date: June 2, 2009
"I've used these several times for Girl Scout events, summer day camps, and a birthday party. I've used them with 5-13 year olds and they're always a huge hit. Plus, I don't have to deal with all the decoration mess that I would need for other masks (glue, sequins, paint, etc.). I spray them with a clear glossy acrylic spray after the kids "scratch" them to preserve the design. I've also used the wood tools as fruit kebab skewers!"

"We are having a super hero birthday theme party. Will provide the kids with capes and these masks allow them to personalize their Superhero identity. Great party idea cheap!"

Great for Customization
Date: April 13, 2009
"I've used these for several Girl Scout events because they allow for customization without using crayons or markers (which are boring). I spray them with a finishing spray, or laminating spray, after the kids have made their design so the remaining black part does not chip off."

Good, but wrong price for quality
Date: April 8, 2009
"I would recommend these for kids, I love the design your own quality to them. I thought they would be of a sturdier material though, it's like a light cardstock.
I had wanted favors for a masquerade ball, and really like the customizing part with low effort. They're a bit small though, not an ideal size for adults.
We'll see what guests think."

"why do 24 masks come with only 12 stylus tools? I bought bamboo skewers and made more stylus tools. I was a bit disappointed with the flimsy quality of the masks but the idea that they were customizable totally made up for that. The kids loved it!"
