"Tip: After coloring the fan blades, work your way to the right around the square pulling up each corner of the square and ,without creasing, fold it over so all holes will be IN LINE over the middle hole . You need to staple, double stick tape or hot glue/glue dot the holes so they will stay in line and stacked.
To assemble the fan: 1) Fit the plastic piece on the straw end. 2) Slip the cardboard flower over the narrow plastic stem. This keeps the fan blades from rubbing on the straw. 3) Slide on the assembled fan blades. 4) Secure blade in place by sliding the tiny plastic ring over the end of stem.
Hope this helps. It worked fine for me and the kids were able to make it go around without any problem."

"I used these as an craft to do at his party. My suggestions would be to put the pin wheels together yourself because they have small parts. Also i found that if you staple them into place they will spin. Other wise you can blow till your blue in the face and they wont move. id buy them again cause the kids loved to color them and who doesnt like pin wheels?"

"i had these at my daughters b-day was easy for little kids to do because you just color on them. wished they would of had directions to put together that was the only downer to them but one of the adults figured it out. would def. order again."

Oriental trading makes entertaining kids FUN!!

"Besides the fact that there weren't any instruuctions, it was relatively easy to figure out how to set this up! It's a lovely little project that the kids enjoyed and had fun holding it in front the fan! The kids are aged 3 - 4 years old!
And for the amount you get for the price, it's a really good deal! Oriental trading makes entertaining kids a fun and easy job!"

"These pinwheels were great, once I was able to figure them out. Wish they had instructions as it would have saved me lots of time and the kids lots of frustration. Some plastic parts don't fit together snugly (making it hard to spin) but a simple bit of playdough or glue dot does the trick. Pinwheels were smaller than I had expected though."

"I ordered these to take on the mission field with me as I go to hold some children's crusades. I was disappointed that no instructions came - I did get them figured out. For the price the product is okay but is not likely to hold up well."

"Plastic pieces are a little flimsy; most don't fit tightly together. I put a glue dot on the end of the straw to keep it in place. A little difficult to spin. Lots of extra papers were included."

"Purchased these for one of the VBS Crafts needed for the week. The card stock is flimsey, making it hard to color. The kids need assistance with assembly - I had to staple the thing in two places to allow it spin around - the paper kept hitting the stick otherwise. Overall not a bad craft for the price. The kids did LOVE playing with it once we got it put together."

"I ignored the previous reviews and gave these a try. I'll pay closer attention to the reviews next time. The cardboard is not nice to draw on, and the perforations don't tear cleanly. I was able to make a sample pinwheel, but it wasn't much fun. And it just wasn't an appealing activity at my five year-old's birthday party. None of the children or adults even tried to make a pinwheel."

"I ordered 4 packages and all but one had shortages. Out of 4 packages there were 5 sticks missing, 1 cap and 5 small fasteners also missing. If you order these I guess you have to figure there will be some items missing and order a few more than you need."

"This product was loved by all of the kids, but there was one thing missing! The instructions, i had to figure them out just as i realized the whole no directions thing, just an hour before the party! Please Please buy something easier to make (unless you work in some kind of mechanical factory then your good)!"

"I used these for a Girl Scout Brownie meeting as one of our requirements for a badge. The girls loved them, and had fun decorating them and putting them together. These took very minimal adult help, easy to use for 2nd graders. Some were bent in the package, but with how many come in a set we were able to use the others. I found the bent ones could be reshaped after the meeting. Good product for the price."
