Nice colors bur hard to squeeze

"I'm hoping these will be easier for my son's classmates to use, but I had a hard time squeezing/testing a couple of these tubes of paint. The colors are very nice - I purchased these along with the 'mom' and 'dad' stained-glass picture frames for our holiday shop at school. It doesn't make a difference to me, but the plastic bag/packaging was all torn when these were sent but the pens seemed fine. I'm sure I just need to practice with these paint markers to get the hang of it. *crosses fingers*"

"I used these with the under the sea sun catchers. They turned out well. The kids have to be careful to not squeeze too hard or the paint will come out in a giant glob. 6 year olds could do this quite well!"

"No instructions were included. I took the cap off and tried to use the pen and nothing happened, so I squeezed harder, and harder. Then the inside tip popped off, but still no paint, so I squeezed harder and then, paint came shooting out and got me in the face, and all over my outfit. If instructions were included, I could have avoided a mess, and I wouldn't have wasted paint. Since I read the other reviews, I believe you should remove the inside plastic piece, but on some the piece won't come out, unless you squeeze really hard and spray paint everywhere.

"Great idea but for toddlers the paint comes out too fast and too much and makes it difficult for the children to paint their sun catchers neatly & cleanly. The pens would work better if the opening was a lot smaller. The price is great, having the paint in pen form is great, and the number of pens you get is worth the money."

"Received the paint and several of the tops were split off. Making them unusable. Also, each individual paint pen was individually wrapped. Plus, a paper stopper to unplug before using. Not a big deal, but a pain none the least."

"Before buying this product I read the other reviews and had helpful tips. Don't forget to remove the little plastic piece under the tip, and put it back in before storage. They are pretty paints, and I would buy them again, but I have to help the kids every step of the way."

"Loved these! So much better than using brushes! They make getting the colors right where you want it much easier. I wasn't sure how much was in them, but the package had way more than enough for 16 kids to do multiple suncatchers without having to scrimp."

"I bought these along with 3 sets of sun-catchers for my 2 young daughters to have fun with. Once I taught them to spread it out and not just pile it on in one spot they were able to have a great time. I did have a "duh" moment when we first opened them and nothing was coming out--you have to unscrew the top and pull out a little plug. You can really color a ton of sun-catchers with this set we have done about 20 of them and still have 1 full set of colors unopened. Great to have on hand for rainy days!"

"We have never used sun catcher paint before, but this seems to be good. It dries very bright while allowing the light to pass. However it takes a lot of paint to reach a deep color on the sun catchers."
