Very simple craft, easy to assemble and no "extras" needed, everything was right in the bag. The patch is foam and the string is stretchy and durable.

I purchased this for my library for our week-long celebration of all things pirate. I used this with kids ages 2-7 and they all loved it. For the younger kids I put the string through the patch but the older kids were able to do it themselves. One of the better quality OT purchases I've made.

The kids at our son's 4th birthday party found these at the end of a treasure hunt. Then all the kids (and parents) made their eye patches to wear for the party. The craft was very easy and fun to do. Some of the kids even wore them for a long time.
