I brought these into my child's kindergarten classroom and they were all so excited about them. It was definitely a hit. The best part is that the mailboxes don't require glue as the stickers are self adhesive. That made all our lives easier! It was a quick, fun craft with an easy clean up. The only thing is that I didn't know what to do with the knob it came with, so we threw them away.
Pros: Age appropriateness
Cons: Assembly, some of the mailboxes were a little smashed, some of the mailboxes didn't shut right.

I bought these about a week or so ago, and got them today. I thought they were really cute online as well as in person. Though they are small, they are perfect for my daughter's buddies and her friends in her ballet class. We are having a little party for valentines for her ballet class, so these will go great for a arts and crafts project! I wanted to put candies, tiny toys/jewelry, and little valentines in them after we create them for her buddies, so the size works perfect. =) Great and fast shipping, nothing was damaged!

This item worked fabulous as a centerpiece for a retirement party for a postal worker. They were each filled with candy. I spray painted them black and they held up well. I felt they were made well and definitely can be used again. Bonus, the mailbox was already assembled!

I purchased this for my kindergartener's classroom Valentine's Day party and ended up not using it because the quality control was soooo bad. I purchased 3 bags of 12 mailboxes and out of all 36 almost half were unusable. The biggest problem lay in the attachment point of the lid to the body of the mailbox itself. Most were ripped or glued so poorly that it was falling off. I would have had to hot glue or tape the little paper maiche "hinge" to get them usable and even then I can't believe they would last long with rough 5 year olds. Also, many of the mailboxes were squished in on random external corners. Everything was packaged well, so it had to have been lack of QC at the manufacturing end. Finally, while the ladybug face foam pieces were included in each mailbox (in a sealed plastic bag that you need to cut open), I would have had to supplement with other foam pieces as there just wasn't enough to really decorate the mailbox well. Thankfully, I had purchased another craft that worked out, so we went with that.

The boxes are really cute and easy to assemble. The knob needs super strong glue to remain on the box.
My only wish would be that the boxes be larger. They hold very little inside them.

I bought these for my daughters Pre-K class and it was a hit. Some of them did arrive bent and unusable, but luckily I had extras, so it did not pose a problem. I do suggest that a parent (adult) hot glue the knobs on prior to giving them to children to decorate.They're small, but in our situation so were the children... :-)
