"This is a fun project to do with the kids at our Sunday School at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Dunellen, NJ. It is also fun to do with our Footprints Christian Preschool that resides at our location. We find a lot of fun and creative and Christian based items at a great price (particularly when they are on sale)! We love to do a lot of active things that help to develop the childrens imaginations! We highly recommend Oriental Trading!"

Love these!
Date: January 3, 2010
"I purchased these last year after Christmas and put them away for the kids to make this year. They really simplified my life. I hate cutting strips for chains. I gave the children slightly dampened sponges and taught them to dab and hook together. It worked so well."

"The children loved the final product, but had trouble when putting them together. Would of been better if they had more sticky stuff on back, we ended up using a glue stick with them."

Good purchase
Date: December 28, 2009
"I have actually purchased these twice for a childrens' party at work. The paper is not thick, but I think that makes it easier to work with. It would be nice if they were peel-n-stick, but glue dots work nicely. We used it as a "station" at a party. All kids had to make a chain of 10, then we connected them and hung them around our cafeteria at work. I will purchase again."

Good for 6 year olds
Date: December 22, 2009
"We used the chains at my daughter's 6th birthday party. It was a great way to start the party as kids arrived. They liked making patterns with the variety of different paper strips. All of the kids preferred to use glue sticks, even though the paper strips do work by just licking -- one end is slightly gummed."

"I read the other reviews... We did lick and stick and it was easy enough for our 3 year old granson and 6 year old grandaughter. It was a great afternoon and our tree is more beautiful for it. The kids loved it"

Not worth it
Date: December 22, 2009
"I purchased these as a project for my kids and I to do together. I assumed they were like the old fashioned construction paper ones but the are almost as thin as carbon paper. They have the lick and stick adhesive that envelopes have. They are definitely not worth purchasing."

"Good quality! But I thought when it said "gummed" that they were self adhesive. So really threw us off when we used. But nice not to have to cut strips!"

only ok
Date: December 19, 2009
"I purchased these for my 4 -year -old preschool class because the description said they were gummed. I figured the price was worth not having to cut all those strips of paper, and it would be easy for my kids to use the gummed strips. I was dissapointed when I opened my package to find tiny, flimsy strips of paper that were NOT gummed. My kids still enjoyed the craft, but if you have to use glue sticks anyways it might just be easier to go ahead and cut construction paper for young children. With all of that said, the chains do look nice when completed. The kids especially liked the stripped links. I just wish they were bigger, of better quality paper, and actually gummed."

Bought under false advertising
Date: December 16, 2009
"I purchased them thinking that since they were gummed my young children would be able to complete the project on their own with little help. None of the 500 stripes were gummed, so you better have plenty of glue sticks on hand. Complete waste of money and when you figure all of the glues sticks."
