The craft is not possible for adults to make attractive let alone children. It came with a round rather than flat blue ribbon for the hat (which makes no sense). The brim of the hat is impossible to attach with foam glue (or any other type). The squashed "tube" body will not unsquash. SO the hat looks more like a warped cowboy hat than a pilgrim hat.
Really an awful kit. don't waste your money. Do a toilet paper roll and paper plate craft of your own.
Pros: none
Cons: quality, Assembly

This looked easier to make than it actually was because of the materials, and how it came packaged. Tried to make one of these as an example for my daughter's 2nd grade class, but ended up throwing it in the trash. The main tube piece was crushed, making it difficult for anything that was glued on with regular school glue to stick to it. Perhaps using a glue gun, as other reviewers suggest, will work better. It was also missing a piece that was not included in the extra pieces bag. I would recommend just having kids fill in the feathers of what they're Thankful for, and just gluing them & the sign to the paper plate backing, rather than messing with the body of the turkey & its pieces! It's not worth the aggravation!

I got this project for my Second graders. I wished I would have read the reviews first. You defiantly need a glue gun! I used glue dots because they have worked well in the past for other projects . They did not work well at all. The turkeys stayed together for a little while but once the students touched them they seemed to just fall apart!
Pros: Educational
Cons: Assembly, quality, glue gun needed

The turkey body tube was smashed, on every single one of them, and I bought 24 of these. That makes it really difficult to glue the hat on. I put one together and my daughter came home and commented that it looks like my 5 year old boy made it. Also what they show in the picture as being a blue ribbon around the hat is only a really thin blue cord. It is a really great idea, but the quality just isn't there.
Pros: Age appropriateness
Cons: Assembly, quality
