As with all foam projects, glue dots work best. The dry time on regular glue is too long for a one day project. Pieces are nice size even for small hands to work with

The directions are very complicated and it needed an adult to use the glue gun to stick everything together. The straw makes a terrible whistle sound when you blow through it and when you do eventually get everything stuck together the wire for the googly eyes is too stiff and they don't move at all! I had to adapt the craft and use the wire to create a hangar for the back and we made bat mobiles instead.

Wire on eyes is so stiff that when they blow through the straw the eyes don't even move and the instructions were not very easy to follow. The point of the straw was to blow through it and then the eyes would move and that doesn't happen at all.

Thank goodness I decided to make one before I tried this with the kids. The directions do not even match the picture. The directions say to glue the purple piece onto the straw yet when I finally gave up and checked the website, the straw was not where the directions said it should be. Forget making it three dimensional and just make the bat flat. It is still a cute bat, but save yourself the frustration of trying to make it 3-D.

Bought this for the Halloween party I'm planning. It's pretty simple, but don't try to use glue dots as they aren't really strong enough to hold it together. The eyes are near impossible, and made of Styrofoam which has got to be the most annoying sounding thing. ^^; Still turned out pretty nice though, can't get the eyes to float though.
