"I found these easy to assemble. Our Cub Scout den of 7-year-olds had lots of fun with these. Each of the 12 kits were packaged individually and then together in a bigger bag. The magnets are NOT in with each kit, they are in their own bag down in the larger one.
Some tips for getting the most from this craft:
1) Best results for gluing, in order of best to worst
* Hot melt glue gun
* Glue dots
* Foam glue
* Tacky glue
* Elmer's glue
* Glue stick
I found that for adults and older kids, Hot melt glue works best for this craft. For younger children, glue dots are great. I pre-applied them to the foam pieces, leaving the clear backing intact. The kids were able to just peel the backing off and stick everything together. No mess!
2) Be sure you put the glue on the correct side of the magnets (the side with the grooves in it) - if done this way, the magnet is plenty strong enough to hold the finished kit on the fridge.
3) Check each kit for missing parts prior to assembly. (magnets are in their own bag!)
4) Watch out for googly eyes missing the black "pupil" - although one of my boys suggested they could be used for a blind penguin...
5) Check the thermometers carefully. Some may need the protective plastic cover re-attached, others may be broken or simply not working. Don't worry, these thermometers use a colored alcohol, not mercury, so so heavy metal poisoning is not a danger.

Above all, have fun!"
