Got these for my son to use at school, red is his favorite color. I wish the names showed up better. Not sure if they are painted or just stamped. I would still get them again if he wants them though. Pencils purchased at other places had more contrast between words and pencil.

Bought these for my son for school. The engraving color left a lot to be desired. It didn't show up well but I tried the white paint and paper towel trick used by a previous reviewer and now they look awesome. I haven't tried to sharpen any yet so I can not speak to the quality of the pencils.

daughter loved these, but wishes the lettering was bolder. the lettering looks to have been etched out of the paint color leaving the natural color of the pencil to show through. so it is suttle, but nice
