Great flutes

"I ordered these flutes for my son's wedding and was most happy with them. Although they don't look exactly like the picture, they are quite pretty. I was impressed by their sturdiness and the fact that the bottom piece attached firmly and stayed put. The price and quality is far better than anything I could find in our city."

"These look great and are sturdy standing once attached to the bases. The guests at our son's rehearsal dinner were very impressed with them. They look like real glass when filled with bubbly! (See photo)

My problem was I decided to wash them before use because they came in a giant plastic bag and I was not sure if they'd been handled. Well, I used a bottle brush which scratched them slightly in the stem area...and I cracked 3 because they are pretty thin plastic. My advice...GET THEM! But...don't clean them overzealously before use."

"The plastic champagne glasses I was sent were good value for the money, however I was very dissapointed that they looked nothing like the picture on the website. The glasses shown are 10x nicer than those that I was sent."

Elegant for Plastic

"I ordered 150 of these glasses and have opened one box so far. Mind don't have the stickers on the bottom of them that everyone complained about. I put the first 25 together by putting the stem in the base and twisting it to lock it in and they held up just fine. I have only put water in one but it did not leak. They are very elegant and will be perfect for my daughters wedding."

Not at all what they look like in the picture

"So I was very unhappy when I got them in the mail and they look nothing like the picture! They are nice and look better then any other plastic champagne glass you will find but not like the picture at all. I was disappointed but again better then others so I am keeping them. They don't have stickers on the bottom and I tested one and it didn't leak but they were scratched a little. They are plastic though so what do you expect? Over all I am happy and they were very well priced."

Great glasses! with a little help

"Thank you for the reviewer who mentioned that these leak. I bought these---no stickers on the bottom so didn't have any problems with that--but about half of them leaked like the other reviewer said. I got some Gorilla Glue which puts a waterproof seal on the bottom--just dabbed a little on the bottom of the leaking glasses---a little extra work but made the glasses PERFECT!!!! I do the like the uniqueness of them--always something nice for a party when you have guests who will no doubtedly comment. If I didn't check the other review and they would have leaked on me---that would be bad for a party. Thank you AGAIN to the reviewer who mentioned these leak so I could be sure to check for that."

They well work

"When I looked at them online and in the catalog I though they were so different looking then everything else I had seen. But then they cam they all had a rough patch on them where my guests well be drinking off of them. At first I was ready to send them back but then I thought maybe they could be fixed. So I took a block nail file and ran that over the bumps two or three times and it worked and they still looked good. As for the little stickers on the bottom a bit of goo gone and an old sock did the trick really easily, but I did break 3 of them trying to put them together so I am glad I had extras, cuz that was a task."

White stickers do not come off the base

"I purchased these champagne flutes for a bridal shower. I bought two cases of 25 pieces per case. I was very unhappy to see that each flute had a code sticker on the base that I could not get off. I soaked each base and had a terrible time just getting the white part off. The glue stayed on each base. It is a shame because the plastic flutes are very attractive. I don't understand why a sticker had to be put on each base."

Do not buy these!!!

"I did alot of reserch before buying these for my wedding reception. We wanted something classy looking, but disposable. All the prior reviews were good, and I was very pleased when I got them and put them together. They looked amazing and were perfect... Untill they had champagne in them. I bought 100 of them, and all but 5 of them leaked. It was very embarrassing for me to have champagne leaking all over my guests.
I would not recommend these to anyone! The silver lining is that Oriental Trading is very good about refunds and I got all my money back without hassel, or having to send them back."

"The glasses had several issues. As others have stated, the stickers are a pain to remove. When snapping the bottoms on the glasses, the prongs on the base will break off very easily. In order for them to fit securely, you have to add a drop of glue to the base. The biggest issue is on several of the glasses, there are small black spots molded in the plastic...not where you can wash off but actually inside the plastic which makes them appear dirty like black pepper got stuck on them. Anyway, out of the 75 glasses I ordered for a wedding toast, 8 are not usuable due to the black defects. Also, the edges are rough around the top, hope no one gets a lip abraison! I suppose if you're trying to get out with inexpensive glasses, from a distance they look very nice. You get what you pay for but overall, considering the price, they're OK for the money."

"On the picture the glasses appear to have a silver band wrapping around the glass top to bottom. It must be an illusion from the silver confetti surrounding the glasses. They are completely clear, they look cheap, and are packed very tight, I pray that there are no cracked ones, but they are better than other champagne glasses that I have seen...for the price, it'll do nicely. Just dont buy these if your looking for true elegance."
