I ordered these for my daughter's asian-themed birthday party. The lights were very bright and did not blow out. The only problem I had was keeping the lantern on the light cord. Other than that, it was a great purchase and I'll use them repeatedly!

There is nothing to keep the lanterns elongated except pulling them straight & they are easily crushed! Very pretty when lit.
