"I bought these fans for my daughters wedding in July 2010. I was skeptical but decided give it a try and I am so very pleased with this product. Fans come in varied sizes which will work well with the guests and you can actually use them during the outdoor ceremony. They are also large enough to put the wedding program on them and decorate with the wedding colors. Thank you Oriental Trader."

"We use these at our dance studio and have for years, I recently ordered some for our church dance program...they hold up really well and believe me we abuse them. Don't expect a certain size, cuz it is a get what you get type of item, but they all work the same."

"Love them! Can't wait to use them for my outdoor wedding next June! Different sizes, but that's good, so the kids can have smaller ones. Going to decorate the handle with ribbon and a bow and glue a program on the front, so they can be useful."

"Ordered these fans for a Bridal Shower which was held outside on a very hot day. I attached beautiful ribbons from the bottom of the fans and tied them onto the corner of the chairs. Not only did it look beautiful, but all the guests loved and used them...and they were very sturdy and well made. They come in different sizes, as they are hand made. This makes them even more unique....but if you need them EXACTLY the same size this is not for you. I entertain a lot, and I would definitely recommend this product. Definitely a 5-star for the money!"

"I ordered 40 fans for my church. The only thing that I was disapointed in was that they didn't put the church name on like I asked them to. My Pastor wife was glad that I went ahead and did this for the church. I plane to order again from you."

"I bought these fans for wedding favors. Although they weren't needed for the actual wedding, they were still a big hit! I tied ribbon around the base of the handle and they looked great!"

Beautiful raffia fans!

"I love this raffia fans. I bought them as a wedding favor for my sister´s wedding at the beach. They´re not only beutifull, but also high quality . As they´re handmade they do come in different sizes, as all handcrafted items. I found it just lovely! We deccorated with a ribbon and seashells, ant they looked fantastic!"

"I brought the fans to our local bar where we country and line dance. As we all know, only men sweat. Us ladies just glisten and glow all night long! I just brought them for all to use, and plan to bring them every week. They worked great, and everyone was grateful. I gave them only 4 stars for quality because not one fan is the same size as the other."

"I bought 5 dozen packs of these fans for my wedding. Each pack has SO MANY different sizes in it. About 8 out of the 12 are super mini size and the other 4 are HUGE. I would expect them to at least take the time to pack them in bunches of all of the same size. Now I have to figure out how to distribute these as I don't want some guest wondering whey they got the huge one or the mini one. Just beware that the sizes in each pack are veryyyyy different, even if you only order 1 doz. for the price I am not so mad that I would return them or anything, we will make it work."

Beware of Size

"While the price and quality of these fans was good-and I did read other reviewers' warnings of variations in sizes-I was astonished when my order of 27 dozen fans arrived and NONE of them were the 10" size, as described.

The fans I received were more like 14" square in size. So my plan in ordering extra so I could pull the sizes I wanted and not be troubled by the random large/small ones was completely foiled when ALL my fans ended up being WAY too big and not suitable for my purposes.

If you're not locked in to a certain size range, I'd say go for it as the price was great compared to other sites and the quality was decent (and most sites offering these have the same sizing disclaimer anyway). Just be aware that the variation might be by as much as 40%!

Plus, you're pretty safe taking a chance on these, as OTC had excellent customer service! Despite my issues with these fans, I would order from here again as they authorized my return without hassle and even paid for return shipping."

"If you don't care so much about the sizes then these raffia fans are perfect for any occassion. But if your like me and you want to use them for placemats or try to have them all as close as possible to the same size, then I don't recommend. I have fans ranging from Large, Medium, Small, and maybe even Smaller the Small. I thought I was going to be happier with the product but am not. Good Luck!"

"I ordered 2 sets of fans. 3 of the 24 fans could not be used due to their quality. Some of the fans had a green color others were almost falling apart. There are a variety of sizes but I was more concerned with the fact that I had to throw away three fans and some of our guest will not recieve one."
