I used these as a prize for a fundraiser I was having at a community event. I was dissappointed when I found out they don't grow at all. I thought it was because I used hot water or that the water got too cold over night, but nope. No matter what, it never became "sponge" like, just sort of bumpy and funny colored. I hope the kids who won this prize weren't too upset with me :(

We tried one of the pumpkins prior to my preschooler's party to see how well it worked. It did not work well at all. The pumpkin only became bumpy and never swelled up and grew. I tried hot, warm and cold water, but nothing worked over a 48hr period. I chose to get a refund on this item which customer service handled quickly and easily.
