"I was dissapointed. I am a bulk purchaser of these bags. They are now smaller and more of a mesh/polyester surface. My personalized company logo does not iron on as easily as before. I wasted several $1/piece logo transfer papers - and the image doesn't go on a solidly as when the bags were more of a canvas consistency/surface. I ordered a BUNCH and I depend on them for my business. Not a happy camper. You should note that the quality has changed - before selling them to frequent buyers."

"The handles are really cheap. I washed them, and they shrunk a little bit. But i am using them as gift bags and after the iron on that I used, it looks good. It'd hard to knock this, because it was so cheap."

"I purchased these canvas bags for my prek students and I was not very pleased with the smell when i opened the box - I have them out of the box to air out and i am hoping that the smell goes away - if not I may have to return the entire order back to Oriental Trading - the bags smell like they came out of a mildew basement or warehouse - I am very disappointed with this purchase"

"I was pleased with the physical appearance of these bags, however, there was an odor that washing, fabric softener sheets, and Febreze wouldn't get rid of! This is the first item I've ordered from Oriental Trading that I was disappointed with. One item I would HIGHLY recommend for a party though is the Flipflop Pinata - the picture in the catalog doesn't do it justice. Adorable!"

"Well they are rather cheese-y . The smell or "off gassing "is crazy! I will need to air them outside for sure; they kind of make my throat hurt. The same smell as new carpeting .

"I used these bags to hold party favors from my son's birthday party. I purchased iron on Thomas' and used fabric pens to personalize each bag. They are a simple bag that kids can do with what they want. They are not large enough to be used for grocery bags, but big enough to carry a couple of toys or maybe a lunch in. They are very musty/moldy upon arrival and made the rest of the box smell, but after washing with bleach on the hot cycle, the smell is not as bad, but not gone completely. Don't buy these if you really need to impress; they won't last long, and the smell doesn't help. But for the money, they were perfect for my project."

"I ordered this product for my daughter's home hockey tournament as a give away for all participating players. They were the perfect size to fill with treats for the girls. I also ironed on our hockey logo, which turned out great. The only downfall to the product was that the bags smelled musty, and needed to be washed before use."

"I would NOT recommend these bags. They are not well-constructed and came to me reeking of mildew. (Apparently I'm not the ony one with the mildew issue either.) The straps are very thin and are already falling apart of some of the bags. These are much too chintzy to use for shopping bags for long because they'll definitely fall apart after a few uses. The mildew smell was the worst part though. I left them outside for 4 days to "air out", which did nothing. I eventually had to soak them in a strong bleach solution just to cut out SOME of the smell."
